I am a member of a search and rescue group in Oregon. I needed a hat that would keep me dry during Oregon's rainy season, which can be 8-9 months long, but not be too warm during a rigorous search. A fellow searcher has a Seattle Sombrero and loves it, so I bought one,too. I used it recently and found it to be the perfect "fit" for me! It folds up to go in a pack, keeps my head dry in the rain, but at a comfortable temperature--just what I wanted!

This hat is really great. Comfortable, keeps the rain off and looks good too. I like how I can stuff it in my bag and pull it out and it is still a good looking hat and not a mess. I would recommend this hat to anyone that is looking for a nice looking, comfortable, stylish, transportable, lightweight hat. I will be looking at this as a gift idea for friends and myself again!!!!!

Bought this in anticipation of a summer trip to Scotland, and unfortunately it was a wise purchase. Spent an entire day walking around Edinburgh in torrential rain, topped off by sitting for two hours at the Military Tattoo - still in pouring rain. A rain hat gives much better all round visibility than a coat hood, and doesn't interfere with your hearing to the same degree. I stayed perfectly dry and warm after hours and hours of rain - just remember shake like a dog when you get under cover :-)

Recommended without reservation.
