Not great. The blender had a very cheap feeling to it. I would suggest spending a little more. The base is plastic and looks it. Very light and wobbled! The pitcher was good. The blending also could be a little better. The drinks setting did not blend my drink and left pieces of fruit in the drink. Not a $60.00 value, maybe a $30.00 item. Spend a litle more, or less for another blender!

Always had Oster Blenders and I was expecting this model to be great;
Problems: Too heavy; the cup doesn't fit snugly to the base; the high speed is weak; doesn't blend anything all the way (not even tomato sauce).

I purchased this recently at another retailer since I have been making large quantities of fruit smoothies for my family and have found my food processor to be less effective than I would like. The large capacity glass jar appealed to me, and I thought that the idea of designing the jar to fit in the refrigerator was quite clever. I thought the base of the blender looked stable. All of this may be true, but it is all irrelevant since I discovered upon using it that the blender is absolutely ineffective. I layered soft fruits in the bottom of the blender (fresh bananas, melon, and nectarine) then added some frozen mango chunks on top. I pressed the "drinks" button. I tried again. I pressed all of the buttons. I removed most of the frozen mango. I stirred and mashed with my spatula (with the blender off). The spatula was more effective at blending the soft fruit than this blender. I can't attest to other Oster products, but this blender is poorly designed. I will be returning it today.
